2022 GP4 Time Trial League (F1virtual and friends) - Sakhir

Hello all, we're organizing a hotlap league for GP4 following the 2022 Formula One season. Several unfinished tracks which will be used on the competition will also be made available to the public, starting with Sakhir.

This version includes a 100% remade layout based on much more accurate data than the previously released versions.

I´d like to dedicate this video to all Bahraini who suffered from the political troubles that have been occuring there since last year.

New WIP track by the F1 virtual team: Bahrain 2010. That race was very boring in real life, but the layout is very interesting and sort of challenging. Although it may seem ready, some parts are still buggy and need more attention. That lap was 6 tenths faster than Webber's actual fastest lap that year.

Sakhir reboot

A pista de Sakhir, Bahrain, não usará o traçado estendido em 2011, voltando ao traçado antigo. E nós nem terminamos nosso traçado novo ainda! Pelo menos se vier versão 2011 ela será mais fácil. :)


Bahrain Circuit at Sakhir won't use the extended layout in 2011, reverting to original layout. News that come before we could get to finish our 2010 version! If a 2011 version ever comes, at least it will be easier. :)

A maioria das áreas de escape está pronta, assim como o posicionamento novo para propaganda. Tudo com a ajuda sempre valiosa de meu compadre Ed Schueyfan.


Most of banks is done, and so new adverts are placed properly with a big help from my friend Ed Schueyfan, whose cooperation is always so valuable. Hope next week we have an end.

Bahrain: dat + wad changes

There are some issues to be done yet:

1. kerbs for new sectors
2. new TV cameras
3. some adjustment on track banking

All elevations are based on land profile I´ve got from google earth and some intuition of mine.

Hopefully it´s not far from reality in the end. Any of you who gets interested on searching endurance race videos I´ll be really glad.

For wad file, I´ll change it based on 2009 event, and final wad will suit perfectly for original and current layout. Hope they don´t change it for 2011!

UPDATE: Paulo and Ed have got some videos from where I based my elevations. It´s barely realistic for me now. Hope you all enjoy at the end. Sadly for 2 layouts with one single wad it won´t work out, so I gotta shape 2 wad for both layouts.

Bahrain changes for 2010

O circuito de Bahrain vai ser alterado em 2010. Será utilizado o traçado das corridas de endurance. A razão dada pelos organizadores é o fato do grid ter aumentado o número de carros para 26 nesta temporada. A extensão do traçado passará dos 5.412m para 6.299m.

Em minha humilde opinião, é uma bela desculpa esfarrapada pra justificar uma mudança tão inapropriada. Talvez esteja enganado depois de conhecer as elevações do novo traçado, mas por agora...

Apenas comecei a mexer no dat, com bons resultados.

Bahrain circuit for 2010 venue is going to use endurance layout. Organizers say it´s due to expanded number of cars to 26 this season. Circuit length increases from 5.412m to 6.299m.

In my humble opinion this is the worst excuse some F1 organizer ever said to justify such a boring change... Maybe elevations should become it better in eyes, but for now I dislike it all.

I´ve just started new dat job, with good results, studying current wad version for future improvements.

Enquanto o Gildoorf fez a parte visível (e bonita) de Sakhir, eu me oculto nos detalhes que só se percebem quando algo está errado! Depois de umas poucas horas perdidas consertando um inesperado bug no prédio dos pits, voltei para a parte visível com estes pequenos detalhes do lado de fora das garagens e com as imagens estáticas dos telões (compare os pits com as fotos de uma semana atrás). A 300 km/h ninguém presta atenção nisso, mas não dá pra negar que a arquibancada principal faz uma bela sombra.

Na minha humilde opinião, o trabalho que o PrBlanco realizou e está realizando pra este projeto é digno do prêmio Paciência 2008! Incrível a qualidade dos detalhes e é estimulante a dedicação dele nesse caso em particular (gildoorf).


While Gildoorf made the visible (and beautiful) sections of Sakhir, I hide myself in the details that people only see when something's wrong! After wasting some hours fixing an unexpected bug in the pit building, I went back to the visible section with these small details outside the garages and the static videowall images (compare the pits with last week's pictures). Most barely see these at 300 km/h, but we can't deny that the main grandstand gives such a nice shadow.

In my humble opinion, Paulo´s hands on this project should be prized with Mr. Patient Guy 2008! That´s amazing his level of details in this case in particular (gildoorf)
